What's the film going to be called?

What's Joaquin's character?

I can't help wondering, given that Joaquin was discussing a role in a Marvel comic book film, if Woody Allen was having a little joke in naming his film 'Irrational Man'. You know, like Iron Man, Batman, Spiderman, etc.

I read a news snippet about Woody Allen today in one of the newspapers.

Quote:
"He's one of the coolest people, Woody Allen. We were talking about people on the spectrum, and he has Asperger's. It hasn't stopped him. He's not one for chit-chatting. He's very efficient and he knows what he wants. I love that.

"Some directors love to talk and analyse. But he just wants you to be the character and not worry about the process. He'll tell you if he doesn't like it. He often does!" http://www.tv3.ie/entertainment_article.php?locID=1.803.874&article=160522

^ That's not from the newspaper, but it's practically the same article.

Anyway, it got me to wondering about how Joaquin would enjoy working with Woody, given that he does like to work on the 'process' - or at least I think he does. I hope Joaquin does some press for Irrational Man and speaks about his experience of being directed by Woody, in the same vein that he's spoken about being directed by PTA, for instance.

I hope he does press for Irrational Man too. I believe I did read he enjoyed working with Woody and that he was a genius as well. :) hugs oxox

There's a book titled, Irrational Man: A Study In Existential Philosophy. I wonder if that has anything to do with this movie.

Thanks Ana, that's a great find.  I guess we'll find out when the film comes out but it does sound like it's right up Woody's street. Always good to brush up on our understanding of Existentialism anyway.

Years ago, I was into all that. After all, it was the moody, questioning teen/young adult phase.
Now, my passing broody moments consist of soaking in music like Amy Lavere's.
