This is going to sound odd, but lately when I see him in pictures and on tv, I wonder where is his wedding ring. Like there is supposed to be one on his hand. Anyway, I don't believe this announcement. He couldn't even look at anyone directly when he was telling the story. How funny that the yoga move has hog in its name, and I just read something about an anti-Walmart campaign he supports about pigs? Strange world. That's another topic though.

Sorry, but i don't buy it either. unless he's engaged to Aria, who was his g/f in 2010 and a yoga instructor. just seems a bit strange to me;)

I also used to do Yoga on the Nintendo Wii system we have too! but it's been a long time since we used it.:( I do it now when no one's around me.

Ahh, he's having a laugh. Remember last year when he was saying he was married? He's having a joke. I wonder if the guy's aware that he's probably caused a load of women to break down weeping.

Anyway, if you want to look at it logically:

Why's she never been seen with him?
How are they "getting married" after two months? (He was still with Allie in September.)
Why was he in New York on his own?
Why's there been nothing from his friends or family about it? Allie was often commenting on Rain's photos and Rain was commenting on Allie's. There were even photos of them together. I think if Joaquin was serious with anyone, they'd be meeting his family.
This is Joaquin and Letterman. I think we all remember the pretty big hoax he pulled off on there one time.
He's said multiple times he makes stuff up while he's being interviewed and jokes about stuff. (Big one being the "Kitten" nickname.) Judging from the way he said this, laughing his head off, he was joking around. He did the same thing last year, and caused a panic. :) Remember when he told several reporters he'd got married and he was looking forward to the future and everything else? And everyone believed him until his publicist had to tell one of them it was completely untrue? They never made an official announcement about it, but it's what happened last time. He never said anything to disprove it. The guy's got a wacky sense of humour. Been proved many times.
So nah. He was having a joke. I'll believe it when I see her walking down the red carpet with him, with a ring on her finger and with her name revealed. But I think, even bypassing all the other stuff, if a relationship was that serious, she'd be with him now. And so yeah. I think he's probably not anticipated the huge reaction at all. :) I don't know if he's still with Allie, but I don't think he's with anyone new. (Also, we've had reports of him going to strip clubs with his friends-doesn't sound like he's over-the-moon obsessed with a new woman!) So yeah. Oh, Joaquin. How many times have you nearly given us all heart attacks now?

Just realised he also described her as 6 foot 2 and "huge, kind of monstrous." Really? Would you describe someone you loved like that?He's having a laugh. And the world's gone berserk over it. Oh, Joaquin.

Thanks, Ellie! And she hasn't posted anything of his dogs or family for a while-over a month now, so maybe they're not together anymore, but if they've broken up, it can only have been in the last two months! (Because they were together in September.) Anyway, if he had a new serious girlfriend, she'd have been with him at AFI and she'd be with him now. (Can you imagine if there was really some woman at home hearing her fiancé describe her as "monstrous" and detailing how they're getting married without even telling her???) She'd have been with him. He's having a laugh. :)

Of course he's having a laugh! I'm actually shocked so many people believed it! As for Allie, now she uses instagram only to promote herself but you can still find "hints' that she's datig Joaquin on her tumblr and twitter! ;)

Oh right! I just thought it was weird that they haven't been seen together in a bit-she wasn't at AFI with him or anything. And Rain's stopped kind of mentioning her the way she used to. Maybe they just cooled it off a bit and they didn't spend Thanksgiving together like last year. Anyway, we know he's not engaged! Bet he'll get asked about it on GMA or Live With Kelly and Michael!

Relax everyone, it's been confirmed he was joking.
"It was a joke"  Phoenix's publicist told the Independent. "Joaquin has an extraordinary and spontaneous sense of humour but it is not true." It's on the Independent, if someone could link? Don't know if he's still with Allie, but apparently he's not close to walking down the aisle! When I think of all the news outlets that have reported that story.... Typical of Joaquin!
