The 2014 Oscar nominations have been announced! 

Joaquin's not going as he didn't get nominated, snubbed again by the powers that be!  But i'm sure he's quite happy with that!  I guess he could still go to support Her as best picture though 

Her has been nominated 5 times though! Including best picture!

I don't know if the Academy allows for people to turn up as a support act unless they're the plus one.  I could be wrong though. Although even if that was allowed, I'd be sceptical that Joaquin would actually do that anyway. 


Maybe he's sent SJ a bunch of flowers and a congratulations card but I imagine Joaquin's response to the nominations was

We all know that Joaquin is very private when it comes to his love-life so it's no surprise that he wasn't photographed with his girlfriend.


Joaquin was nominated in the Comedy or Musical category for 'Walk The Line' back in the day too. I guess the fact that the film had singing in it made it a musical in the GG's eyes.  So, they might have used similar reasoning this time ie: 'Her' has funny parts so therefore it's a comedy. 


Alternatively, they might have put Joaquin's nomination in that category to accomodate him since there were so many contenders this year for the leading actor category.

What do you think's interesting about his body language, Joy?

And I agree with the comedy/musical thing-I think they might have just wanted to get him in. But I'm glad Spike Jonze got a nod for Best Screenplay. I don't know if Joaquin'll turn up if he doesn't have to, though. Probably not, since he doesn't seem to enjoy it all much. Anyway, I thought he deserved a nomination for Best Actor, even if he doesn't care too much about it himself.

This is a poem by Charles Bukoswki. It is a true story, it really happened. Perhaps it's a nice way to think about all these latest news. I was worried before but I'm good now. It's nice to read other ppl comments :)

a symphony orchestra.
there is a thunderstorm,
they are playing a Wagner overture

No, she didn't... when I registered here, I did the same in the forum of site Joaquin Phoenix Central, where I was often reading news about Her ... but I never have participated in it... just readind! I chosed you girls! So the comment is in this forum, and it looks like the girl have an istagram account where she follows Allie Teilz, and by this way she has seen the pictures, etc...

Beautiful!  Why were you worried? I really think that this kind of events are influenced by other kind of factors, so far from the quality... I can't believe that Mathew Mcconaughey got a nomination while Joaquin Phoenix not. 
But as I said before, Joaquin might has a profile or personality that it doesn't like too much to the members of Academy... this kind of thingsare taken into account...
Her is a kind of movie very daring and OSCAR is in my point of view very conservative...
I'm very interested on watch it!

Many kisses honeys, my language interchange has abandoned me... 9 hours of difference is a great trouble!!!
